The Short Version

Your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or sell your personal information. Period.

Data Collection

BoulderBro does not collect:

Personal information (name, email, phone number)
Location data
Usage analytics or tracking data
Advertising identifiers
Any data that leaves your device

Data Storage

All your climbing data (boulders, goals, statistics, photos) is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure data storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to:

Export your data - You can export your climbing data to CSV files
Enable iCloud Sync - Optional feature that syncs your encrypted data across your Apple devices via your personal iCloud account
Share achievements - When you choose to share to social media

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud Sync:

Your data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before leaving your device
Encryption keys are stored in your device's secure keychain
Data syncs through your personal Apple iCloud account
We cannot access your synced data

Photos

Photos you attach to climbs are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to any server. If you enable iCloud Sync, photo references may sync, but the photos themselves remain in your device's photo library.

AI Route Detection

The AI Route Detection feature processes video entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning. No video data is sent to external servers.

Third-Party Services

BoulderBro does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

BoulderBro does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13, as we don't collect data from anyone.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
